Field Closure Policy
All Field Closures will be posted on this website and all affected participants will be notified by email through TeamSnap.
A decision to close the fields could be at any time. We monitor the weather, but we generally do not close fields based on a poor forecast because oftentimes the weather changes throughout the day. We tend to wait until it’s actually raining, imminent, or completely obvious, before closing the fields.
For practices, the club makes the decision close the fields and cancel practices, but if a team finds their field is not playable when they show up at the time of the practice, a Coach may cancel their teams’ own practice on the spot.
For games, the club makes the decision to close the fields and cancel games, but the Referee may make a game time decision to cancel or temporarily suspend a game based on current field conditions.
In the event of lightning, clear the field. If it’s a game, wait 20 minutes for it to pass before attempting to resume the game.
