Our goal is to provide high-quality player development with proven and consistent coaching, aiming to build competitive players and teams. We are dedicated to instilling in our players the values of dedication, hard work, and practice, and to demonstrate how these principles translate into the rewards and enjoyment of success.
Our primary focus is to develop all players from the youngest age groups, progressively working towards creating competitive teams that can excel at the highest levels of competition.
- A competitive soccer environment for players to learn while instilling a love for the game.
- The PENN Travel program has a curriculum determined by PENN Director of Coaching, Pat Lordi, and is implemented by professional PENN trainers.
- Professional PENN Training sessions during the weekly practices with a focus on developing technical ability.
- Currently forming boys and girls teams in the U8, U9 and U10 age groups for the 2024 / 2025 Soccer Year, which begins during the Summer.
- Current Birth Years: 2015, 2016 and 2017.
- Most travel teams play year-round.
- Teams participate in any number of leagues, including EDP, ICSL or The Rock League.
- Teams are formed on one year age groupings.
- Teams compete against teams from other area clubs.
- Participation on travel teams is determined by competitive tryouts.
- Tryouts are held once each year in the spring.
- Players may be added throughout the year if there is an opening, and if they are competitive players.

Players who have accepted a position on a travel soccer team may Register here. This is also the initial payment for the annual fee.

These teams are for the 2024 / 2025 Soccer Year. The Soccer Year begins in the Summer.
Boys 2017
Pat Lordi will be the Age Group Trainer for the Boys 2017 team, which will play in the Inter-County Soccer League during the 2024 Fall season. Players are primarily 2017 birth year.
Boys 2016
The Boys 2016 PENN Majors team will play in the Inter-County Soccer League during the 2024 Fall season. Players are primarily 2016 birth year.
Boys 2015
The Boys 2015 PENN Majors team will play in the Inter-County Soccer League during the 2024 Fall season. Players are primarily 2015 birth year.
Girls 2017
Pat Lordi will be the Age Group Trainer for the Girls 2017 team, which will play in the Inter-County Soccer League during the 2024 Fall season. Players are primarily 2017 birth year.

COACHING
Coaches participate in the team practices each week and coach their team on game day. Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches receive a PENN Coaches Shirt and a PENN Sweatshirt. If you would like to be considered for a coaching position with your child’s team, please click the appropriate box on the Tryout Registration Form.
TRAINING
All teams have professional trainers for their training sessions.
Season Overviews
Summer
The Summer season begins in July and ends in August. Teams train 2-3 times a week.
Fall
The Fall season begins in September and ends in November. Teams train 2-3 times a week with games on the weekends, mostly on Saturdays.
Winter
The Winter season begins in January and ends in March. Most teams train once or twice a week. Some teams participate in an indoor soccer league as well.
Spring
The Spring season begins in April and ends in June. Teams train 2-3 times a week with games on the weekends, mostly on Sundays.
TOURNAMENTS
Teams participate in local tournaments during the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons.
UNIFORM
A full uniform kit includes a Primary Game Jersey, a White Game Jersey, an Alternate Game Jersey, Black Pocketless Shorts, Black Socks, and a Training Shirt. Other optional items may be purchased, like warm ups, back packs and extras.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
PENN Athletics is primarily responsible for overseeing the administrative tasks essential for each team, thus allowing our dedicated coaches to concentrate solely on honing training regimens and fostering the growth of our players.
PENN Athletics centrally manages the following for each team:
- US Youth Soccer player registrations.
- US Club Soccer player registrations.
- Hiring professional trainers and coaches.
- Collecting and maintaining all background clearances.
- Securely and confidentially collecting and maintaining player documents, such as birth certificates, medical release forms, and player pictures.
- Scheduling practices, games, tournaments, indoor and outdoor facilities, trainers, and coaches.
REGISTRATION FEE
The Registration Fee varies from team to team, depending on their age, level of play, and specific requirements. It covers all team costs, including but not limited to coaches, trainers, tournaments, leagues, referees, fields, equipment, administration, and any other essential team expenses necessary for the successful execution of the season.
